Home to Andy's San Jose and still looking for our 1st win of the season,we opted for a 4-3-3 normal as they went for a 4-2-4 normal, both sides started well and enjoyed lots of possession but we opened the scoring on 13 minutes when Sarabina fired home 1-0,SJ hit back and levelled things up on 14 minutes when Jackson slotted home 1-1,defences then took control till half time, 2nd half subs on and they seemed to up their tempo as Jackson fired home his 2nd goal on 50 minutes 1-2 and Lineker headed home on 63 minutes 1-3,we had no answer to this surge in tempo,game changing moment on 76 minutes when Gusto had a red card and SJ down to 10 men,we then upped our tempo and Kownacki fired home on 78 minutes 2-3,80 minutes and they changed tact to stall,we kept pushing and on 87 minutes Carranza slipped through and drilled home 3-3,we were outplayed for periods and outshot 11 to 7 but held out for a point,well played Andy.
Away to Stephen's Houston, who like us love to play early ball attacking football,we opted for a 4-2-4 early ball as they unusually opted for a 4-2-4 longball, we started well and enjoyed lots of possession and opened the scoring on 29 minutes when Carranza fired home 0-1,defences then took control till half time, 2nd half and subs on and on 50 minutes Driussi headed home 0-2,HOU slowly played themselves back into the game and pulled one back on 62 minutes when Myhill fired home 1-2 and on 69 minutes Lupienska slotted home to level it up 2-2,70 minutes and Mokhayana drilled home 2-3 and on 81 minutes Sarabina fired home to seal the win 2-4 in a really close encounter with both sides having 8 shots each ,Vermeer in our goal was in outstanding form with 6 saves ,well played Stephen and Austin have their 1st win of the season giving us the chance of progression.
