Season 30 - after a season or two of neglect Columbus find themselves in a weak position with players that are an age higher for their SL than is expected. We do have 3 decent players but GK is too weak to win games and shouldn't really be coached at 2/18 but we need to get some results to avoid morale dropping off the earth. The age 1s are fine but that's next season.
Season 30.
I've been playing these games since about 2004. I was playing quite a few when Al Sellers asked me to set up ODFL, for new managers but also to maybe check out new features. Back then ODFL had teams from MLS. Life took over and I handed the reigns over to Dave Dowson. Eventually I left all these games and didn't return until after Dave renamed ODFL as OASL and set it up as it is with the youth teams. When I came back it was as manager of New England but quit after Dave's death and Robin ruining the league after David Blair quit. I am honoured to be given Dave's old team and hope to do it justice. As the previous manger did, I've left Dave's bio below.
As for me I'm happily married to Elaine, my second marriage, have a 17 year old step-daughter with her and a 6 year old son. It's a photo of him as my Youth coach pic.
For my sins I play 2 other of this type (SESL and SFLSL) as well as the two United games and the brilliant TMVL.
I also play Fortnite thanks to my son and other PS5 games if I get the chance. I'm still a child at heart
Dave's bio:
Aliases: Dancin'Dave,Dealer Dave
I also play in MSWL UNITED 1 & 2 , where I manage Southend United & Tonbridge Angels respectively
I also Coach the Louisianna Saints in GFL3
I play in OASL (COLUMBUS CREW & REBELS)
Having resigned from both SFLSL(ITALIAN STALLIONS)SESL(MOTHERWELL),
I am Commissioner of OASL
In real life I support Southend United my local team who play in EFL League 1 , they are managed by former England defender Chris Powell.
I play Lawn Bowls at Thorpe Bay Bowls Club
My eldest son Jason also plays in OASL ( Carolina ) & SESL ( Elgin )
I am married to Avril & have 4 children & 6 Grand Children
My first experience was in the sadly now defunct PSFA where I Managed the Picasso Psycho Saints ( Won the inaugural Premier Division Championship).
I was instrumental in resurrecting the OLMEC CUP, an OLMEC inter League Knock-out Championship (a kind of European Cup if you like). With Al Sellers assistance it was set up last year & I am the Commissioner.
It runs every year in May June & the top clubs from the various OLMEC leagues participate for the Kudos of being the 'OLMEC CUP' Champion.
I competed with my team Route 66 Rebels in Olmec Cup 6 & OASL team 'Columbus Crew' in OC 7. In OC 8 I will represent SFLSL (SANCTUARY) with my team the ITALIAN STALLIONS
I was also a founder manager in ODFL the trainer/test league for OLMEC ideas & new managers. I managed LOS ANGELES GALAXY for the first two season & won the ODFL CUP.
I took over as Commissioner at the beginning of season 5 I also manage the
Columbus Crew & won the Division 2 Championship in season 6 gaining promotion to the first division
