Season 58
S57 Recap: once again a season to quickly forget, we are starting to get used to it. Although we did much better than last season it wasn't enough to play any role in the division. We improved a lot in terms of defensive tasks; less goals against, higher ratings for defenders, golden gloves for Alisson, while up front we seem to have a real goal getter with Gabriel Pec. It's not much, but these are the ups that keep us going.

The young squad has matured a lot. The key players are situated all over the pitch, couple of experienced lads to flank them and still plenty of opportunities to train up some youngsters. If Pec and Alisson manage to improve on last season I'm sure we should be able to aim for a playoff spot this season. Not training up any youth players for other clubs this time around, full focus on performance!

The real Deveronvale were formed in 1938 and their first league campaign only lasted three games into the 1939-40 season before, as their official site says, war stopped play. Currently Deveronvale are in the Highland League, along with Huntly, Nairn County, Buckie Thistle and Fraserburgh and from which there is now possible promotion.
Update Season 58
In the premier league it's very common to hire a foreign coach. In Holland it's not. It happens, but only occasionally. But after depleting Dutch options Ajax was forced to bring in fresh blood from abroad. The Italian Farioli took the reign. Although the Dutch press is trying really hard to criticise every move Farioli makes, he is in fact doing really well. Ajax already won more games this season then in the season before, from time to time we see finger licking attack waves and the players seem very happy. While the first team seems to be on the up the club is still very much on fire. Financially it's terrible, Ajax budgets CL income but have not qualified for the CL for a while now. The accounts are empty and the youth players are not ready to step up. Nearly January, so hopefully a few sales will give some financial space to buy a left winger and a creative midfielder...Erikson maybe?
In life, all is steady. Looking forward to the holidays :)
See ya on the pitch!
