**Season 58 Update**
Season 57 Review
Well after the disaster of Season 56 where we got relegated from Division 2 in bottom place , we moved into 57 with a air of looming complacence :). We did improve our overall standing and performances after a very slow start to the season. At one point we were going to pick supporters and play 11 trialists to see if that would improve things.
At the end of the season we manage from our 30 league games - 10 Wins - 7 Draws and 13 Losses. An improvement of 6 extra wins from S56. GD was also OK based on out finishing place of 10th in the league. 36 GF and 41 GA. We have never been able to score many goals compared to other who always get in the high 60's and above.
Roy Syla our top scorer from MF with 9 goals.
Season 58 Preview
So on to our 2nd season since relegation in Division 3.
Our new Bosman is a 1/14 DF - Scott Mcmann. We needed the manpower in DF so in there he goes.
Squad Details
A squad of 19 players with one pensioner (Furphy (2) in the squad. I doubt whether he will get 1 min of playing time.
Goalkeepers - Albinson is now the current number 1 with ex fans favourite Purdie going down the aging slippery slope.
Defenders - 3 Age 1 DF's this season (Watret 17), Stanger (17) and Bosman McMann (14). All will get a TP boost early in the season. Along with the other more skilled DF's Musonda (24) and Sanders (20)
DM's - Still only have the 2 DM's - Chalmers (24) and McHugh (22) will be utilised mostly in DF but will be used in MF on occassions.
Midfielders - 4 MF's with one as SL 4. So only really Syla (25) last years top scorer, Rus (17) and Mullin (16) to pick from.
MA's - No players in this position this season.
WG - Sludden (18) is our only WG as he continues down the path to retirement. He will be used to rest our FW's and MF's from time to time.
Forwards - Oakley(23) is our main threat and a few of our precious CP's will be used on him. Assisted by Willock (18). We also have Bryden (9) to only be used in Emergencies. So you can see why we don't score many goals.
Captain - FW Joe Willock (Season 56 Top Scorer)
Expectations
With very little cash at the end of last season, we are very limited in CP's. 25 purchased only and we are also skint.
If we can finish in the top 10 it will be a miracle as our T11 and T17 CP SL is not going up by a lot this season.
Starting T-11 - 21.2 (12th out of 16)
Starting T-17 - 18.5 (Joint 7th with Cove)
Season 58 Update
